A Prayer to Trust God's Promises
Lord, as waves of fear come, I pray you would stir up in me a heart that desires to run to you. I pray for an unwavering trust in your goodness and the praise that you are my refuge. Thank you for your unfailing love, grace, and mercy over my life.
I pray the promises of Psalm 91 over my life. Right now, that no harm would overtake me, that no disaster would come near me. I pray that your angels would guard me in all my ways. I pray that because you love me, you would rescue, protect, and be with me in my troubles… even if those troubles are all in my imagination. Calm my fears and bring your peace to my heart.
In Jesus’s name, Amen. - Chelsey DeMattis
A Prayer When You Struggle to Trust God
Lord, you see the circumstances I face today, and you know the fear and anxiety I feel. Forgive me for letting worry overtake my thoughts.
There is no God like you, almighty in power, working wonders. I praise you for the faithfulness you have shown me so many times in the past.
Lord Jesus, even though I feel worried, I will choose to trust you. Help me remind myself today of your great love and power. Help me identify fearful, anxious thoughts and lay them at the foot of your cross. Give me the grace and power I need to meditate on truths from your Word instead. Help me also speak positive words that will inspire others to trust you as well.
You are my salvation. You have already saved me from sin, and I know you have the power to save me from my troubles now. Thank you for being with me. I know you have plans to bless me and work for my good.
Lord, you are my strength and my song. I will worship you today and sing your praises, even if I cannot quite understand what you are doing. Thank you for putting a new song in my heart.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. - Betsy de Cruz
A Prayer to Trust that God Goes Before You
Thank you, Lord, that you have been sending us your promises from the very beginning of time. Thank you for your faithfulness, as you give the definition of faithful a true meaning. You have never and will never break a promise. Time and time again throughout all Scripture, you promise to lead us and guide us, to never leave us, nor forsake us. Thank you that you have already paved a way and wherever we are sitting in this very moment, you are near us and one step ahead of us.
Whatever we are facing, Lord, we can trust that you know what’s next and are protecting us along the way. We ask that in those moments where doubt creeps in, that you would remind of us today’s verse. When fear creeps in of what is going to happen, remind us that you are in total control and that you have already gone before us, you’ll be with us during it, and you’ll go behind us. Thank you that you are trustworthy for these beautiful promises to help navigate us through this life.
In your mighty name we pray, Amen - Alisha Headley
