Ohio Worship Team Drops New Christmas Anthem 'Come, Bow Before Him,' Extending Heartfelt Church Invitation

Updated Dec 21, 2023

The Chapel, located in Sandusky, Norwalk, and Port Clinton, Ohio, created a unique way for church members to invite their friends and family to Christmas services this year. "You can use this video as an invite to your family and friends," Pastor Charles Conrad said in the video intro, "And with that in mind, we're excited to share with you a brand new Chapel Christmas song called, 'Come, Bow Before Him.'"

Their worship team wrote and recorded a new Christmas song featuring Worship Leaders Meg Ravis, Spencer Eller, and Sonja Leavitt. "This was a huge team effort, and we’re so proud to see how people are using it to share the Gospel story with others on social media," Meg said.

The Chapel is driven by its core purpose, which is to help people move one step closer to God and each other. Lead Pastors Eric Lapata and Todd Neilsen expect attendance to Christmas services to double the average Sunday attendance at The Chapel, and they are praying and preparing to welcome those who will walk through their doors for the very first time or for the first time in a long time.

The song sings about the birth of Jesus breaking a centuries-old silence between God and His people, as Emmanual, 'God with us,' was born. The lyrics invite the listener to consider the Savior of the World, King Jesus, and come to bow down before Him. Several Biblical names of Jesus are used throughout the song, and the message of the Gospel Jesus came to deliver is the solid root of the new Christmas anthem. "The perfect expression of perfect love," the song sings, "come bow before Him, King Jesus."

From Northern Ohio to everyone watching "Come, Bow Before Him" this Christmas.
